About Our Team

Poonam (Pam) Moore is the founder and owner of Poonam's by Design, and is the featured designer on HGTV's Rico to the Rescue. Poonam's was established in February of 2006. Poonam was born in the Fiji Islands and was raised in the Los Angeles area. Poonam is married with 4 beautiful daughters, and 3 grandchildren. Poonam's passion for interior design started at an early age. She attended The Art Institute of Colorado, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Interior Design. In her spare time, Poonam loves to spend time with family and friends and loves to travel! Her life motto is to stay connected to her God, live life with passion, joy and peace, enjoy every moment, dance like no one is watching, laugh until you pee and have no regrets!

Everett was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and decided to move to Denver in 1993. Everett initially worked in the corporate world in Colorado but has been a First Responder for the last 14 years. Everett is married with children and grandchildren and enjoys entertaining, traveling,  watching sports and relaxing with his love ones. Everett joined the team full time in 2022 but has always played a role behind the scenes since the inception of the company, which started on Poonam's "hunny do list"! Hunny do this, hunny do that, etc.

Vickel Maharaj (Vick) has over 20 years of Managerial and Customer Service Experience. Prior to joining the Poonam’s by Design team he worked for the state Laboratory as the Operations Materials Manager. A long career with the State of Colorado helped him acquire skill sets to bridge gaps between showroom staff, contractors and clients - bringing a feel of team, unity, and family to Poonam's by Design. He recently received his Real Estate license and is working on establishing his footprint in the field. Vickel was born in the Fiji Islands, moving to the United States when he was 5 years old. He is married to the love of his life, with whom he shares two children. He enjoys all types of sports, music, cooking, and traveling with family.

Alicia Mitchell has been with the company since February 2022. She was born in Indiana, however she has lived in Colorado most of her life and doesn't see herself leaving anytime soon because she loves the mountains way too much! She enjoys taking pictures of her mountain adventures, whether it's hiking or paddleboarding. Alicia strives to live an adventurous, positive and healthy lifestyle as much as she can. She loves trying new places to eat and comedy shows but she especially loves music, so you'll catch her going to concerts and supporting the local music community on the regular.

Ashley joined our team after moving to Colorado from the DC, Maryland, Virginia metro area. Coming from a military family, Ashley finds her passions in traveling, experiencing new cultures and food, and helping people in any way she can. She pursued a degree in Kinesiology, working in outpatient physical therapy creating special bonds with her patients and finding joy in their happiness and success. Since joining Poonam's family, she has continued to find joy in being able to assist, and share the gratitude, with clients’ projects. Expanding her horizons, Ashley has found an admiration for the interior design world, on both the admin and designer sides. She hopes to use the knowledge learned from Poonam’s to be able to share and teach others. In her spare time, Ashley takes pleasure in finding new restaurants to try, bartending, and doing her nails.

Elizabeth joined our team after moving to Aurora from Northern Colorado. She finds her passions in traveling, dancing and spending time with friends and family. Elizabeth started studying Interior Design and Business Management at Utah State University before Covid. She hopes to keep learning and growing from Poonam and expanding her love for Interior Design by helping assist clients throughout their project. In her spare time she likes to go to the gym, take dance classes and curl up at home with a good movie or show.

Rachel joined our team after graduating with an AAS in Interior Design from Arapahoe Community College. She is a firm believer in experience is the best education and has worked hard to start her career at the age of 22. Her passion for design is primarily residential, with other interests in computer software like AutoCAD and SketchUp. Born and raised in Colorado, Rachel enjoys cooking, making lists, and spending time with her family. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Ray, and together they have a son, a dog, and two cats. Rachel’s goal is to design spaces that will fit the needs and wants of each client, and make it beautiful!

Kristina joined our team, bringing with her an extensive background in project management, customer service, and interior design. She is a Jackson Hole, Wyoming native, having first come to Denver to attend college. She graduated from The Art Institute of Colorado with an AA in Interior Design, and from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with a BS in Business Management. Kristina has worked in commercial design and in the foodservice equipment industry. In 2015, Kristina got her Colorado real estate license and has worked in this market as well. Kristina's true passion is helping people discover and create the place they will call home. She has been married for 26 years, and has 3 beautiful children. She enjoys art and creativity, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.

Crystal Davis is an Interior Designer. She brings with her 10-plus years of residential design experience. Her formal design training began at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design where she graduated with honors. Crystal’s style is modern, sophisticated, and cultured. She often infuses her aesthetic with texture, color, and global inspiration creating unique, inviting spaces. She strives to create spaces that not only represent each client but exceed their expectations. Crystal and her husband of 16 years have four exceptional children. She is passionate about her relationship with God, power tools, and true crime. One day she hopes to travel to all seven continents. In the meantime, she can be found in the mountains connecting with nature.

Ami graduated with honors in 2020 from Arapahoe Community College earning her AAS in Interior Design. After graduating, she worked at a kitchen & bath remodel and design showroom and in the model home industry. Prior to entering the design world, Ami worked in customer service for 25 years. Her approach to design is to incorporate the principles and elements of design; her favorites being color, texture, and pattern. Ami has been married to the love of her life, Jonathon, since 2017 and they have three fish and a future dog. When she's not dreaming about being a dog mom, she can be found watching horror movies, reading mystery novels, and the occasional sit-down paddle board outing. Ami is a shark enthusiast and a Crime Junkie.

Jaxon is an exceptional addition to our team. Jaxon has experience in working in the home improvement field which lead to his joining our amazing team.  Jaxon is a native Coloradan and comes   from a law enforcement family.  Jaxon is motivated to make his own path in life and draws his motivation and work ethic from his drive to succeed, continue learning, and improving his and others lives.  Jaxon finds his passion in living life, enjoying friends, skiing, golf, and soccer. 

Inna is a junior designer with a passion for blending technical expertise with creative flair. She was born and raised in Ukraine. In 2014 she moved to NYC with her husband and 1.5 years old son. The transition to the US was an interesting and challenging time in her life. With a master’s degree in engineering, she practiced sketching, 3D modeling, hand rendering and joined many architecture/design– related groups and meetups in NYC. She primarily worked with technical challenges but was always interested in combining technical and art skills. She has found that Interior Design harmoniously combines, which she finds inspiring. Inna has a love of outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, biking and skiing with her husband, son and their two energetic dogs and boss cat. The passion for the outdoors brought her family to Colorado about 3 years ago, where she started her Design career. In Summer 2023 she graduated from Heritage School of Interior Design in Denver. She wishes to create a functional and aesthetic interior design environment where her clients will enjoy life and/or work more productively. Her technical skills ensure that every design is beautiful and structurally sound.

Dayla joined our team after moving back to Colorado from Atlanta. While maintaining her passion as an artist & tattoo artist, she wanted to expand her knowledge within the interior design field. Being a creative herself, she found an immense interest in all the aspects that Poonam's By Design offers. From the interior design aspect to the project management duties, Dayla loves being involved in all parts of the projects. She hopes to one day have a studio of her own to create and expand her own passion & brand. Dayla values the time she spends with her family & traveling, as well as trying new places to eat.

Tiffany Blackwell brings an extensive background in art and design with over 10 years of experience working as both artist and designer. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University in 2014 and began exhibiting in galleries in several states while also working as a designer. Her love for creating and working with people to capture and envision what could take shape in their space is what propelled her from creating art for the walls to transforming the entire environment. Tiffany is a mother of two littles, William and Rosy and they have fallen in love with Colorado since moving here in 2022. They have two magical black cats Elsa & Circe and everyone in the family loves to make art, build (and demolish) things, dance around and get outside.
